Drylining Estimator - Drylining - £45k to £50k - Kent. My client require an ambitious Estimator who will join their expanding Drylining division. The right candidate would ideally have a minimum of 5 years’ experience working for a Drylining Subcontractor and be competent in the measurement and pricing of Drywall Partitioning Systems, Suspended ceilings, insulation and internal finishes for packages between £100k – £5m in value. The candidate should have excellent attention to detail, good organisational skills and be capable of scheduling and managing their own time.

About the Client:

With over 20 years previous experience, my client have quickly built a name for themselves as a reliable and quality contractor, with core services including painting and decorating, carpentry and drylining. Each of the departments is headed up by a fully qualified, time-served contracts manager which provides their clients with a single point of senior management contact. Based within the M25 (Swanley, Kent), they are ideally situated to service projects in London and the South East. As both a CHAS and Construction Line accredited company, health, safety and welfare is their absolute priority and they have a 100% CSCS qualified workforce.

About the Role:

  • Tendering and securing large projects values
  • Working on projects up to the value of £3million
  • Ability to negotiate with clients and offer input during the tender process
  • Negotiating with suppliers and obtaining competitive quotations
  • Good IT knowledge and ability to work in our bespoke Excel software packages
  • Expectation to meet client tender deadlines
  • Good team ethics and ability to hand over contracts smoothly to Contracts department

About the Candidate:

  • Proven experience within an Estimator position within a Drylining Sub-Contracting for at least 3 years
  • Commercially astute, numerate, risk averse & able to accurately forecast cost & sales
  • Multi-tasking, self-motivated, energetic team player with a flexible and adaptable approach to work
  • Have good practical organisation skills, planning of resources and programme scheduling
  • Be able to provide both summarised and detailed reports, on current activities. Priorities and organise, taking a methodical approach
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic with a high standard of personal performance
  • Flexible and reliable
  • Ability to use own initiative
  • Present information clearly, concisely and professionally
  • Attention to detail
  • Customer focused
  • Communicator & motivator with ability to communicate across all levels of seniority from the workface through to Senior Management level
