Estimator - Joinery/Retail Fit Out - £35k to £38k - Nottinghamshire. An excellent opportunity for a proven Estimator within Retail Fit Out or Joinery who will take a pivotal role in building the regional business alongside the Divisional Director. The successful candidate will join a global brand implementation specialist and will have the opportunity to progress and develop within a structured business.

They work with owned and partnered companies worldwide to deliver uncompromising commitment and exceptionally high standards in every brand implementation project they are tasked with.

About the Role:

  • Meeting, liaising and negotiating with potential clients to discuss their specific needs, preparation of quotations for clients based on design stage information
  • To continually liase with the client to keep them informed of progress including regular site visits
  • Collating and issuing comprehensive tender packages, procurement of qualified sub-contractors
  • Sourcing and control of materials (if required) to client’s specification
  • Initial appraisal of tender opportunities
  • Identifying opportunities for margin growth
  • Developing client portfolios and consolidating key client relationships
  • Enabling business development teams to focus on client value rather than bid details
  • Working closely with quantity surveyors, designers and directors to ensure that feedback is collated to improve estimates’ quality and accuracy

About the Candidate:

  • At least 5 years’ experience as an Estimator within sub-contracting and you will ideally come from a Joinery or Retail Fit Out background
  • Self-motivated, pro-active with high standard of personal performance
  • Good oral and written communication skills across all levels of seniority
  • Good level of IT skills focusing on office suite software
  • Good, practical organisation skills, planning of resources and programming schedules
  • Flexible and reliable with the ability to use own initiative
  • Commercially and technically astute
  • Full UK driving licence
