A leading building refurbishment business are looking to recruit a enthusiastic, personable Health & Safety Manager to continue to drive an outstanding Health & Safety Culture across the business

About the Client:

Working with a range of private and public clients, on a range of diverse refurbishment and restoration projects, you will be working on landmark buildings across London. With projects in excess of £2.5m for a company going though sustained growth, you will be in a key position to ensure ongoing safety and to drive the best culture across the business.

About the Role:

  • As the Health & Safety Manager for the business, you will be responsible for ensuring all projects are completed in a safe manner
  • Getting involved with all aspects of projects undertaken from Pre-construction through to client handover
  • Writing and reviewing site-specific risk assessments, method statements and safe systems of work
  • Ensure continued accreditation for CHAS, OHSAS 18001 and ISO’s 14001 & 9001. Begin planning for 45001 conversion in 2018
  • Work with our specially chosen sub-contractors to ensure all works undertaken continue to be to high standards of Health & Safety
  • Undertake regular audits and inspections on sites around London
  • Provide Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality advice to all levels within the business. Building on this, you will deliver a range of SHEQ toolbox talks across the business

About the Candidate:

  • Hold a NEBOSH/NCRQ in Construction
  • Higher level Health & Safety Qualifications including Diploma, NVQ Lvl 5, BSc/MSc would be highly advantageous
  • Demonstrable CPD
  • Experience working for a Main/Principal contractor and a strong understanding of CDM2015 responsibilities
  • Active member of IOSH, ideally GradIOSH or higher. Membership of APS/MIIRSM would also be advantageous
  • Holder of PTLLS, CTLLS, DTLLS, AET or another recognised training or teaching qualification would be advantageous
