M&E Quantity Surveyor – M&E Consulting - £45-50K - London. A well-established Engineering Consultancy are looking for a M&E Quantity Surveyor. They are an excellent name within the industry associated with a well-known and successful main contractor. This is a mission-critical role within their business and offers excellent scope for progression with the ideal candidate having the opportunity to utilize their vast technical understanding.

They undertake projects within the UK and beyond getting the opportunity to play a key role in the delivery of large and prestigious projects. My client is looking for an experienced M&E Quantity Surveyor in and around London.

About the Role:

  • Produce feasibility estimates, budgets, cost plans and pricing documents together with any other appropriate commercial information
  • Produce, maintain and issue appropriate cost and valuation trackers, financial reports, forecasts and ensure Key Event Schedule is up-to-date and reflects current commercial position at all times
  • Support Lead Financial Manager and commercial team colleagues from an MEP perspective
  • Undertake full quantity surveying and commercial management duties
  • Assist in resolution of claims and disputes
  • To maximise value recovery, cost control and cash management
  • To produce and agree final accounts from an MEP perspective
  • To ensure cash is maximised within the team and on projects, without compromising our contractual arrangements and relationships with customers, subcontractors or suppliers
  • Review CP’s in line with ER’s/scope
  • Good understanding of MEP Design and operation
  • Life cycle modelling and energy analysis preferable

  • PMO Management – assurance, governance, risk/issue management, analysis, reporting, RAG status, etc
  • Full life cycle Project/Programme/Portfolio Management
  • Quality Assurance methods/standards to assure delivery of project
  • Understanding of day-to-day matters arising within a project environment
  • Strong influencing, negotiation & relationship management skills
  • A degree in relevant engineering subject (mechanical, electrical engineering) and an understanding of other relevant disciplines
  • Deciphering technical information
