You will be joining an established team with a wealth of expertise within the Main Contracting sector of construction. You will be able to learn and develop yourself as a pre-construction manager as well as support the progression of those around you.

As one of the lead name contractors within the Main Contracting industry, they have a reputation for setting the standards in Fit out, Construction and specialist solutions. The majority of work is within the commercial, Education, Fit out and Public sectors. They have an impressive diverse portfolio of projects that reflects the years of built up repeat business and new investment. This particular Main Contractor trades in a National and International basis which has led to some incredibly interesting locations for their offices.

About the Role:

We are looking for enthusiastic and forward thinking candidates who have a passion for the development of their own career as well as the ability to push the business interests forward through professionalism. As the Pre-Construction manager for this business you will be an important part of the business’ growth plan. Typical duties will include:
  • The management of the pre-construction team. The size of this team will depend on which sub sector you are awarded, however can range from 10 – 25 people
  • You will be a client facing representation for the business
  • Deadline management and time management of the project, people and overall SLA’s that are implemented by the client
  • You will review work before submission, overseeing the technical processes and procedures
  • You will be accountable for you team and the overall growth within that team
  • You will use business development to promote, report and create ideas to the stake holders involved

About the Candidate:

For this role you MUST have a pre-construction track record of success within the Main Contracting industry. As the successful candidate for the job, you will:
  • Have a proven track record within the Main Contracting Industry within a Pre-Construction Management role
  • Have the ability to communicate in a clear and professional manner verbally and using written communication
  • You will have experience within a client facing environment, ideally with some kind examples of work winning expertise
  • You will have a keen eye for detail and high standards for work produces
  • Have excellent time management skills, and portray this by leading by example within your team
  • Should come from a technical background
  • Exposure too commercial, Education, fit out or Public projects within your career
  • Looking for a long term progression path
