Quantity Surveyor - High End Retail, Hotels & Restaurant Fit Out - £40k to £45k - Hampshire. A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor from a Main Contracting background who has proven commercial delivery of High End Retail, Leisure and Restaurant contracts to join a dynamic Main Contractor based in Andover, Hampshire.

About the Client:

A well-established Principle Contractor who have been established for over 30 years and turnover close to £35m work on a repeat basis for the likes of Hilton Hotels, Louis Vitton and H&M. They work on contracts upwards of £10m and cover the South of England. My client is looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor in and around Hampshire.

About the Role:

  • Preparation of project budgets, checking projects contracts, administering projects Contracts
  • Measurement of project to check quantities against tender allowances
  • Preparation of tender documents for any sub contract works and specialist suppliers
  • Set budgets for, and raise payments, for direct/subcontract labour; manage variations as they occur; producing fortnight cost reports to their clients
  • Ensure an awareness of their key responsibilities under the contract; ensure regular agreement of site instructions with the client.
  • Ensure payments are received on time in accordance with the contractual payment terms; ensure retention monies are released when due
  • Prepare and discuss the final account for projects.
  • Negotiate and agree final accounts within the set parameters
  • Prepare monthly Cost Value Reports

About the Candidate:

  • Proven experience within a Quantity Surveying position within a Principle Contractor ideally covering High End Retail, Leisure and Restaurant sectors
  • Commercially astute, numerate, risk averse & able to accurately forecast cost & sales
  • Multi-tasking, self-motivated, energetic team player with a flexible and adaptable approach to work
  • Have good practical organisation skills, planning of resources and programme scheduling
  • Be able to provide both summarised and detailed reports, on current activities. Priorities and organise, taking a methodical approach
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic with a high standard of personal performance
  • Flexible and reliable
  • Ability to use own initiative
  • Present information clearly, concisely and professionally
  • Attention to detail
  • Customer focused
  • Communicator & motivator with ability to communicate across all levels of seniority from the workface through to Senior Management level
