Regional Contracts Manager – M&E Contracting - £70k-£80k - London. A well-established M&E Contractor are looking for a Mechanically-biased individual to oversee multiple projects within the London area. They are an excellent company and this being a senior and high-profile role within the business are looking for a proven Senior Contracts Manager or Technical Services Manager with experience delivering high value residential projects. About the Client:

A mid-size and well-established M&E Contractor with low staff turnover. They work predominantly within the Residential market within London and the South East delivering projects up to the value of around £8-10m. They are well-known for delivering engineering excellence within both Mechanical and Electrical engineering and offer a full development programme for their staff and pride themselves on offering excellent opportunities for progression. My client is looking for an experienced Regional Contracts Manager in and around London.

About the Role:

  • Form close links with the client’s representatives and their teams at a senior level
  • The implementation of the various internal procedures as laid out in the QMS system including reinforcing Risk Register, benchmarks and quality plans
  • To consider not only the technical skills of each person, but also the critical roles and chemistry between their team’s operatives reviewing the 3 aspects of a project team: it’s Project Manager, wider Team and its installers
  • The greatest risk to any project is uncertainty, therefore the Contracts Manager must maintain focus on this as their main concern as an attempt to reduce risk significantly through open communication with all project Managers and fellow senior Management representatives, so all can voice their opinions and concerns
  • To undertake the formal appraisal of his Project Managers and core supervisory team
  • To ensure that the other departments with the business are delivering their tasks on time and to a required standard in line with the well being of your project teams and that where deficiencies exist, liaise with the relevant department head to mitigate and close out any issues
  • To overcome certain tasks and conflicts a Contracts manager must show initiative and be able to find ways to best adapt a situation to provide a successful overall outcome
  • Plan the delivery of the project via an Organogram of how a Project team is to be structured
  • Establish the Training requirements required in your teams and record to the Health and Safety Manager and Business Manager for actioning
  • Review their project teams Periodic progress reports and in turn reports to their Line Manager / Directors any emerging trends and concerns on their projects by suitable media
  • Upon having reviewed the project team reviews highlight any key areas of concerns from their report and seek a resolution with the project team
  • Work with fellow Contracts Managers on the managements and movement of resource
  • Undertake KPI assessments to their supply chain
  • Undertake a review of a team’s operations and supply chain for any Non Compliance
  • Attend Periodic management meetings with fellow Contracts Managers, Technical Managers and Health & Safety Mangers to ensure that any good or bad practices happening elsewhere in the business are communicated back into their Line projects
  • To review Budgets and PL (jointly and severally with the commercial team)
  • To Review the Subcontractor Payrun (jointly and severally with the commercial team)
  • Health and Safety (Jointly and severally with the Health and Safety Manager)

About the Candidate:

  • Relevant Mechanical Building Services Qualifications/Experience
  • Proven experience of delivering Mechanical Residential Projects
  • Excellent Man-Management skills
  • Client-facing experience
  • Excellent Technical knowledge
