Senior Mechanical PM – M&E Contracting - £60K-£70k - London My Client, a leading M&E contractor based in central London are recruiting for a Senior Mechanical Project Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced project manager to join a well establish market leading organisation during a period of rapid growth. My client has a steady pipeline of work with full order books for 2015 and the coming years. This opportunity would ideally suit an experienced professional with a solid background in mechanical project management.

Established in 1992 they are an Industry leading M&E contractor. Based in central London they have a project base throughout the capital and the south east, typically working on high value prestigious projects for a variety of main contractors and end user clientele within the commercial, industrial, educational and high end residential sectors. My Client is looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical PM with excellent salary package on the area of London.

About the Role:

  • To undertake specific projects both commercial and domestic from inception through design, tender, installation and commissioning to final handover within agreed programmes
  • Supervising installation work and programme
  • Supervising employees and sub-contractors on site with regard to standard of work, conduct and time keeping
  • Procurement of materials for projects
  • Client liaison
  • Maintain project budget information and provide reports
  • Provide client quotations
  • Provide technical advice to employees, sub-contractors and clients
  • Ensure Health & Safety requirements are met on all projects including provision of Method Statements & Risk Assessments
  • Liaising with in-house design team

About the Candidate:

  • Experienced Mechanical Manager with design, estimating and project delivery experience for commercial new build and refurbishment projects
  • Experience of managing projects and delivering against contracted targets
  • Experience of managing staff including sub-contractors
  • Experience of budgetary control
  • Experience of carrying out risk assessments and managing safety at work
  • Excellent inter-personal skills; able to influence, persuade and negotiate with all levels of people effectively including managing staff
  • Ability to cope under pressure and ensure deadlines are met
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good organisation skills
  • IT Literate with experience in Microsoft Office Software
