Contracts Manager - Geotechnical - £40k to £60k - Greater Manchester. An excellent opportunity for one of the market leading piling contractors looking for an experienced piling contracts manager to cover the Midlands.

About the Client:

My client are a market leading Ground Engineering and Ground improvement contractor who have a UK and overseas presence and are one of the largest in the world. They have a substantial amount of work in the Midlands, North West and South East of the UK and are therefore looking for Piling contracts managers in all areas. My client is looking for an experienced Contracts Manager in and around Greater Manchester.

About the Role:

  • Running multiple piling contracts
  • Liaising with engineers and project delivery teams on site
  • Communication with client and suppliers
  • Will be managing 2 or 3 Project Managers underneath them
  • Prepare the site planning and liaise with other construction professionals
  • Build a good working rapport with customer, contractors and key members of the supply chain and ensure there is a good open dialogue throughout the project
  • Look ahead and plans all aspects of the project, identifying potential challenges and bringing imaginative and cost effective solutions
  • Produce information required schedules linked to the construction programme
  • Oversee the running of several projects at one time

About the Candidate:

  • Previous experience in running multiple contracts at any one time
  • You will be an experienced piling contracts manager
  • Although there is no specific need for experience in a particular piling discipline, you should ideally come from a piling background.
  • You will have a driving license as you will be expected to travel from project to project
  • You will ideally have a civil engineering degree however experience is more important in this role
