Intermediate Quantity Surveyor - Civils - £30k-£35k - Gloucestershire.
Due to significant growth, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor, to join the team.
About the Client:
My client is a leading subcontractor, delivering multiple civils projects within the rail industry. You will be working on a range of projects including: platform extensions, signal bases, bridge refurbishments, steel erection, lineside drainage, carparks etc. Project values range in value from £50k to £1m, you will be responsible for payment applications, timesheet approval, CVR's, variations and validation of works.About the Role:
- Providing the post contract quantity surveying
- Evaluating and managing contractual risks
- Preparation of interim and final payment applications
- Upstream and downstream financial job control and budgeting
- Procurement of sub-contract and supply packages
- Working closely with the PM to provide efficient project delivery
- Preparation and pricing of variations to base contract
- General assistance with contract administration and correspondence
- Identification and time and money evaluation of changes to work scope
- Attend internal and external business meetings
About the Candidate:
- A relevant professional Quantity Surveying qualification or proficient management experience within the construction industry
- Woking knowledge of NEC 3 and JCT Conditions of Contract
- Ability to undertake site measures when required
- Ability to work clearly and accurately under pressure and tight timescales
- Ability to demonstrate excellent communication and organisation skills
- Computer literate, with a good understanding of excel.
