An industry leading company in the scaffolding market requires a junior scaffolding estimator to oversee various commercial and domestic projects in the London region.    The scaffolding estimator will be responsible for overseeing the various pricing and tender submissions of potential projects. Some form of experience in scaffolding estimating would be beneficial.   The client is looking for a hands-on, enthusiastic individual who will be involved and invested in their various projects and their progress.

About the Role:

The junior scaffolding estimator will report into a senior estimator and will receive guidance and support throughout their time progressing into a fully fledged estimator. As the role progresses, the position will involve:
  • Organising and undertaking detailed site surveys
  • Cost and price new enquiries, utilising knowledge to assist customer requirements and present solutions
  • Identify, cost and price variations to existing projects
  • Liaise closely with Contracts Managers, issuing detailed information during handover meetings
  • Attend meetings pre, post and during project progress
  • Report writing including job cost analysis, productivity and direct costs against budgets
  • Prepare and submit accurate, detailed and timely applications for payment
  • Form good working relationships with existing clients and use previous industry connections to aid sustainable growth plans

About the Candidate:

  • Preferably have a degree of experience in estimating scaffold projects,
  • Flexible self-starter with ability to prioritise
  • Displays strong leadership skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of relevant Health and Safety guidelines
