Project Manager – Joinery / Fit OutConstruction

Salary  £50K to £70K depending on experience - On Site Project Manager with Joinery/ Fit Out experience required for leading contractor

About the Client:

Award winning fit out contractor require an experienced Joinery / Fit Out Project Manager to join the team. My client specialises in commercial, Education and high end residential fit out projects throughout London and the UK with project values reaching upwards of £5M. The successful Project Manager will have extensive knowledge in Joinery / Fit Out The successful candidate will have to live a commutable distance into London

About the Role:

  • Liaise with pre-contracts department and clients to facilitate efficient job hand over on receipt of orders
  • Carry out pre-start site surveys
  • Order materials & allocate labour. Co-ordinate their delivery on time- and site- specific basis
  • Ensure familiarity with site; develop & maintain good relationships with site managers
  • Understand site requirements & manage multiple installations
  • Ensure that Health and Safety requirements on site are adhered to at all times
  • Document & process variation orders
  • Ensure that projects run to time and on budget
  • Creating and maintaining an efficient Projects management system, including Tender analysis file
  • Handling ad hoc client and team requests
  • Record keeping, filing, managing appointments and correspondence O&M documentation
  • Approving purchase invoice payments

About the Candidate:

  • At least 3 years’ experience as a Project Manager
  • Good IT skills with ability to use Word and Excel to generate documents. The ability to use AutoCAD would be an advantage
  • Able to communicate effectively with clients, architects and other professionals as well as contractors and trades people
  • Able to take-off quantities and estimate costs
  • Must have Joinery / Fit Out experience
  • Excellent site and people management skills are essential
  • Must have worked on projects up to the value £2 -3 million
  • A self-motivated individual who is keen to develop their role within the company
  • Personable, friendly and happy to work independently or as part of a team – ability to ‘Build Relationships’
