Fantastic opportunity for an Installation Manager/Site Manager/Project Manager to join a growing office furniture manufacturer/supplier. The successful candidate will lead the 3rd party installation teams and general labour through the installation process. Strong negotiation and communication skills are essential.

About the Role:

  • Responsible for managing installation services through to conclusion
  • Providing a high levels of customer service managing
  • Co-ordinating sub-contractors and labour to meet demands and work to the Company’s quality standards ensuring timescales are met
  • Daily reporting of site activities and progress
  • Strong negotiations skills with site contactors and factories on behalf of the company to maintain schedules, costs and standards
  • Primary point of contact for the project
  • Responsible for the resolution of all issues
  • Work schedules and fit out targets provided by the client/ contractor
  • Engagement of appropriate sub-contract labour
  • Ensure all sub-contracted installation teams are compliant for health and safety on-site and have current CSCS cards
  • Ensure site installation costs are followed in line with project budget
  • Check delivered furniture to correct quantities and report any missing, defective or damaged items to the office and factory
  • Prepare delivery schedules
  • Decide if further furniture is needed
  • Attend site meetings as required including: progress meetings, health and safety and any other that may be required by the client
  • Liaise with design team

About the Candidate:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ proven Project Manager / Site Manager experience
  • SMSTS certificate – PREFERRED
  • CSCS certificate
  • Engineering mind/background – would be advantageous
  • Have a working knowledge of the ‘Electricity at Work Regulations’
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience of fast paced office/workplace projects
