About the Client:

To provide directions and coordination of a team of engineers and designers. The Senior Electrical Engineer is also responsible for Electrical Engineering designs and technical advice and guidance to all parties involved in the project.

About the Role:

  • Provide Electrical design, technical analysis and resolution of engineering problems
  • Preparation and development of calculations, analysis, schematics, drawings, diagrams, models, specifications and other documents relating to each project’s designs
  • Production of details of specifications and outline of designs, creation of refinement of complex electrical components
  • Understand resources requirements, risk and technical quality to ensure delivery of effective solutions to problems
  • Planning and execution of work packages
  • Attending internal and external review and progress meetings
  • Attend project’s sites and works testing
  • Ensure that all designs are rigorously checked and are done in a timely and accurate manner and to the client’s requirements
  • Provide specialist technical advice and guidance on Electrical issues
  • To ensure that all Health and Safety procedures are adhered to and all Electrical engineering work is conducted in a safe and appropriate manner
  • To ensure that all Electrical engineering practices on site are kept up to date and within UK safety legislation
  • Ensure consistency of approach across package

About the Candidate:

  • Educated to Degree level
  • Experience of design and project management of multi-disciplinary projects and production of detailed specifications
  • In-depth knowledge of AutoDesk, Revit and CAD
  • Proven track record of experience covering a range of engineering and technical topics including design, analysis, specification, installation and commissioning
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage projects from conception through production, ensuring timescale, quality and cost targets are met
  • Ability to lead and develop others and manage cross-team works
  • To be able to provide services to agreed standards, timescales and budgets
  • Excellent creative and technical abilities
  • Effective communicator with the ability to deal with colleagues on a variety of levels
  • Liaise with clients and attend meetings on all aspects of the project
  • Sufficient background knowledge to be able to propose and debate alternative solutions to technical and operational requirements
  • High level of computer literacy
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks at the same time
  • Self-motivated and with a high level of professionalism
