Trainee Scaffolding Estimator/ QSConstruction

An industry leading company in the scaffolding market requires a junior quantity surveyor/ estimator based in the Basildon, Essex area to deal with project in the London and South East region on a permanent basis. The junior quantity surveyor/ estimator will be responsible for assisting the senior surveyors in the office, while overseeing the specific projects they are responsible for. The client is looking for a hands-on, enthusiastic individual who will be involved and invested in the project and its progress.

About the Role:

We are looking for junior quantity surveyors/ estimators, with some experience preferably in the scaffolding, but it is not essential. This role has the potential to progress to a more senior position in the foreseeable future.
  • Assisting preparation of tender submissions and contract documents for financial and commercial presentation
  • Assisting production and pricing of bills of quantity from drawings and specifications
  • Meeting agreed targets
  • Financial analysis of current and upcoming projects
  • Develop responses to commercial changes
  • Liaise with project team

About the Candidate:

  • Graduate in Quantity Surveying degree or similar
  • Preferably experience in the scaffolding or construction industry
  • Excellent analytical skills are essential, as are numeracy, literacy and communication skills in English
  • Computer literacy in MS Office, Project
  • Career driven
